HTML5 has introduced several new tags, some of which make a few of the previous tags obsolete. This assignment will allow you to consider and analyze some of these changes introduced with HTML5.

Tasks:

Part A

  • Using the Argosy University online library resources, the Internet, and your readings, research on HTML5.
  • In a 1- to 2-page Microsoft Word document, describe at least five new tags that HTML5 introduces and at least five tags that HTML5 makes obsolete. Justify introduction of new tags and making the older ones obsolete.
  • Save the document as M1_A3_Lastname_Firstname_Tags.doc.

Part B

In this part, you will create two separate files:

  • First, create an HTML file using the naming convention M1_A3_Lastname_Firstname_Video.html. Complete the following tasks using this file:
  • Next, create an HTML file using the naming convention M1_A3_Lastname_Firstname_Audio.html. Complete the following tasks using this file:

Ensure you write in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Submission Details:

  • Your final deliverable will include a Microsoft Word document and two HTML files. Compress all three files in a zipped folder and name it as M1_A3_Lastname_Firstname.zip.
  • By the due date assigned, submit the zipped folder to the Submissions Area.
