Motivation for Long-Term Changes

Working in the field of sport and exercise psychology, it is likely that at some point, you will be asked to consult with someone about making lifestyle changes. Such consultations can have you involved with a wide variety of clients, such as a client who has been told by the physician to lose 30 pounds, a client whose cardiologist has recommended she or he must change eating habits, a client whose coach has warned of an expulsion from the team if she or he is arrested one more time for substance abuse, or even young athletes who inconsistently attend practices and workouts.

Research motivation for long-term changes using your textbook and the Argosy University online library resources and address the following:Create a hypothetical situation where you have been asked to assist a client with making long-term lifestyle changes.
