SNCC Position Paper

The “SNCC Position Paper” provides examples of the sexism female activists endured as members of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. However despite the sexism black women endured, Fannie Lou Hamer, rejected contemporary feminism and said, “I’m not hung up on liberating myself from the black man.” Do female activists still endure sexism when working in empowerment organizations (that is similar to the sexism endured by female SNCC members)?
