Write one research paper in which you select one American historical figure and examine what strategies he or she employed in order to assist a certain American ethnic or racial group

Write one research paper (10-14 pages OF TEXT, plus a “Works Cited” page ) in which you select one American historical figure and examine what strategies he or she employed in order to assist a certain American ethnic or racial group. The paper must answer 4 basic questions:
a) Who you are writing about? It must be a figure who acted within the United States.
b) What group or groups (marginalized in terms of Ethnicity or Race within the United States) did that person help?
c) What techniques did that person use to help that group or groups (government action, street protest, breaking barriers in the entertainment field, etc.)? d) What were the benefits and the drawbacks (or limitations) of the approach that person used to help that group or groups?
Note: each person’s approach has had limitations or drawbacks. That does not detract from that person’s status as a hero of a movement. It simply says that there were limits that the person had to contend with in achieving his or her goals for that group.
Your paper research must include at least one non-encyclopedia scholarly book source. You must consult with the instructor about the specific sources you plan to use for your paper.
