Effects of Gambling on the Economy

1) A draft of your thesis paragraph. Your thesis paragraph should do two things. First, it establishes your main argument. Second, it states how you intend to “prove” your argument or make your case using historical evidence.

2) Identification of all 15 sources you plan to use for your research and the initial bibliography. This should be your working (preliminary) bibliography of your sources from which to draw evidence and historical interpretations with which to write your research paper. Keep in mind that you should have a minimum of 5 primary sources, 1 book or historical monograph, 8 websites or lectures (Wikipedia is not a viable source), and 1 scholarly journal for a total of 15 sources. Each source should have a proper Chicago Style bibliographic entry that follows the examples on the Citation Cheat Sheet. This bibliography will appear at the very end of your paper, and should be listed in alphabetical order.
