Just Mercy Personal Commentary

A personal commentary means giving your opinion, interpretation, insight, analysis, explication, personal reaction, evaluation, or reflection about a concrete detail in an essay. You are "commenting on" a point the author has made.

Your Personal Commentary 1# should select a very specific detail from the Introduction, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, or Chapter 3. In your commentary, you should cover the following points in three paragraphs. Use the Submit Assignment button at the top right to submit your Personal Commentary #1.

1. Identify one specific detail or passage from the Introduction, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, or Chapter 3.

Describe where the specific detail or passage takes place (including the chapter and page number).
