Web Site Review Assignment

Find a web site that is related to our class.  Analyze it and write a review.

Follow the following format.  Each of the sections in all CAPS below should have that word as a section heading.

NAME:  give the name of the site or the company

URL:  List the URL

WHY:  Tell why you chose this site in a short paragraph.

PURPOSE:  State the purpose of the site in a short paragraph

CONTENT:  Give a summary of the content so that a reader would know what the site is about.           (This should be a short paragraph or two)

LAYOUT:  First, describe how the site is laid out.

Second, analyze the navigation and architecture.

This should take 3 or 4 paragraphs to cover.

MAIN AREAS:  What were the main areas.  You might break this down by how the site is organized.  Elaborate some here, but it is not necessary to write pages and pages.  You can probably do it with a paragraph or 2 or 3 and maybe a brief outline of the site at the macro level.

DISCUSSION:  Here is where you elaborate and give your opinions.  Make sure you justify your opinions with good evidence. This section should be at least one page long and should focus on the content, not the layout and logistics.

Other important items that you should consider are:

Use APA writing style.
