What is the topic of my essay? Why this interests me?:

The topic for my term paper is going to be “how digital marketing through Facebook negatively impacts on young consumer behaviour?” I decided to research this topic because marketing is transmitted via broadcasting and narrowcasting on social media, T.V, and radio advertisements, which are some topics discussed in the course lectures that gained my attention. However, I wanted to focus on one specific social media and audience. That is why I chose the youth as the audience because, in my opinion, they are the major consumers of social media and Facebook because it is the most used social network and companies can use it to broadcast and narrowcast their ideas and products to us in an easier way. I think marketing is not always good and that is the topic I want to discuss in this essay; the negative effects this can cause.

Introduction-thesis statement:

Digital advertising on Facebook has a powerful impact on some consumers. It can have a negative impact on young consumers, under 30. I will illustrate how.

Body of the essay:

Subtopic A – Facebook used as a digital marketing tool

Subtopic B – Narrowcasting on Facebook

Subtopic C – The negative impact of digital marketing on young consumer’s behavior of Facebook

Discussion:

Leave this blank in your outline. Only your final essay will require a discussion section before the conclusion. You don’t need to include it in your outline, but it MUST be in your final essay.
